Host/Hostess - Turks Head Wines : Job Details

The greeter/host/hostess position is a full-time/part-time role that strives to create a warm, friendly environment for every guest who enters into our tasting room. The first and last stop in our guest experience, the host/hostess is responsible for managing our reservation app, while providing professional, friendly and quick customer service. This role is responsible for seating guests in reserved areas, providing accurate wait times and assist serving staff when needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage bookings, either in person, over the phone, or through the Tock reservation platform
• Provide waiting times to guests who are not pre-booked
• Create a friendly, warm atmosphere for guests that are in line or waiting to be seated
• Provide personalized service and assistance for large parties of guests and VIPs
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in the front of house area
• Assist with the opening and closing of the tasting room
• Learn the food and beverage menu

Requirements:

• 18+ years old
• Must be willing to work weekends
• Able to stand, walk, and talk for extended periods as job duties require.
• Be able to function within a team based environment

Skills:

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or guest services
• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a high end restaurant setting is advantageous
• Familiarity with food service operations
