We are seeking welcoming and efficient hosts to join our team at our soon to open 400-seat French brasserie located in Grand Central Station. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, accommodating walk-ins and special requests
• Escort guests to their tables
• Monitor dining room activity to ensure smooth seating flow and minimize wait times
• Maintain an organized and clean reception area
• Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and taking reservations
• Assist with special events and large party bookings
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure guest satisfaction
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with tact and professionalism

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a host/hostess in a high-volume restaurant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Proficiency in reservation management systems
• Basic knowledge of French cuisine and dining etiquette
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or other languages is a plus

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Capable of maneuvering in a fast-paced, crowded environment
