JOB DESCRIPTION: Front Office, Housekeeping, Overnight Coverage and Breakfast Service; housing includedLOCATION: 506 On the River Inn, Woodstock, VTJOB SUMMARY: This is a two-person, hands-on role that will have shifts in several including housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage and nighttime oversight to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional guest experiences.The ideal couple will have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple departments including housekeeping, front desk, overnight coverage and breakfast service.On-site housing is provided , along with a competitive salary and benefits package. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in the beautiful town of Woodstock, VT.RESPONSIBILITIES:Housekeeping
- Ensure all guest rooms and common areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet our high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Address any housekeeping-related guest requests or issues promptly and efficiently.
Front Desk
- Guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and providing excellent customer service.
- Handle guest inquiries, provide information about the hotel and local attractions, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, payments, and room assignments.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
- Assist with the preparation of daily reports and ensure all front desk procedures are followed.
.Food and Beverage
- Assist with the preparation of the hotel's complementary breakfast
- Assist with breakfast service
- Assist with ordering and inventory of breakfast items
Nighttime Oversight
- Provide on-site presence during nighttime hours to address any guest needs or emergencies.
- Conduct regular property walks to ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests.
- Respond to any noise complaints or disturbances and take appropriate action to maintain a peaceful environment.
- Monitor security systems and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.
- Be available to assist guests with late check-ins or early check-outs as needed.
- Performs Night Audit duties as required.
SupervisionSupervisory experience is a plus but not required. The supervisory component of this position is dependent on the candidate's qualifications.
- Act as hands-on supervisors for the entire property, ensuring smooth operations and assisting other staff members as needed.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate with the Assistant General Manager to ensure all operational needs are met and any issues are addressed promptly.
- Assist with scheduling and managing staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of hotel operations.
- Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards.
- Execute and promote an accident and safety prevention program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a couple and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Proven experience in leading others in a service or cleaning role
- Knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Ability to use computers, email, Microsoft word and property management systems
