DescriptionWe're searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking laundry attendant committed to providing our guests with an exceptional stay at our hotel. Our laundry attendants perform a variety of tasks:Washing/Drying
- Sort soiled linen and separate terry from sheets/pillowcases, blankets, F&B linen
- Load washers with soiled linen which requires lifting of linen weighing up to 50-75 lbs
- Unload washers with clean linen, which includes heavy wet terry up to 75 lbs
- Load dryers and set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen
- Unload dryers and separate the different types of terry
- Feed the towel folder to fold bath towels; fold other towels, as specified
- Stack folded towels to assigned shelves and/or carts
Pressing
- Push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs
- Separate sheets from pillowcases
- Feed the ironer with sheets and guide the sheet through the ironer
- Unload the stacked and processed sheets from the Stacker, which can weigh up to 30 lbs, and place them on the table/shelf
- Fold the stacked sheets, into king vs double sheets
- Fill up assigned carts/bins of sheets and push/pull those to assigned locations
- Dry pillowcases and proceed to prepare them for the pillowcase run ; feed through the ironer, fold pillowcases, as specified
- Stack the pillowcases into assigned shelves/bins, stacks can weigh up to 30lbs
Ideally, you have experience with industrial washing products and the capacity to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull up to a 100lbs. If you're friendly, reliable, and take pride in a job well done, apply now!Responsibilities•Monitor all laundry equipment and notify the facilities manager of any maintenance requirements•Put all laundry in a washing machine and follow the manufacturer's directions for adding the cleaning chemicals•Ensure all cleaning supplies are in stock and indicate any shortages to the general manager•Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques•Take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry them following the manufacturer's recommendationsQualifications•Ability to work a varied schedule that works mid-shifts, 2nd shift, and working weekends and holidays•Previous Laundry attendant experience of at least 1 year preferred other positions within housekeeping will be reviewed and considered•Must have graduated high school or received an equivalent certification•Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills•Experience with a variety of commercial cleaning products and techniques
