Job DetailsJob Location Albert Hotel - Fredericksburg, TX Salary Range $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly DescriptionALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a PUBLIC AREAS ATTENDANT Albert Hotel is located on a three-acre site from 242 to 248 East Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX. The hotel itself is tucked away from Main Street located behind the original historic buildings, creating a peaceful escape offering quiet sophistication just off bustling Main Street. The hotel has 110 guest rooms, including bunkrooms, suites, and a private house, and each room will have tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and little extras to make guests feel at home. The property has three restaurants, one bar, a private dining room, and will offer in-room dining. Guests can enjoy the inviting outdoor lagoon-style pool, a fitness center, and a 2,000 sq. foot full-service spa. The property is ideal for hosting events, with a 3,600 square-foot event space and a 1,200 square-foot mezzanine deck and event lawn. JOB OVERVIEW A Public Area Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the property including public areas, back of house, exterior public space, and linens. Public Area Attendants are also responsible for the restock of in-room guest amenities and must ensure a thorough inventory control of these products. This role will follow the policies, standards, and guidelines established by New Waterloo, the Department of Health, and any other applicable government agencies. What you'll do:

• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
• Maintain the highest level of cleanliness for all hotel public areas including public restrooms, lobby, fitness center, pool area, and guest corridors as applicable
• Replenish public area guest amenities on a regular basis including toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, etc.
• Remove linen and trash from all vacated guest rooms proper to room attendant service
• Complete any guests requests in a timely fashion
• Maintain guest corridor and back of house cleanliness throughout the shift
• Report and correct any deficiencies noted in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate individuals
• Assist in the timely completion of all projects including mattress rotation, window washing, deep cleanings, etc.
• Assist in the implementation of special projects
• Possess knowledge of all guest services and amenities
• Greet all guests in close proximity and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcome
• Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
• Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the work area
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
• Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property and keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
• Be available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directed

Who you are:

• You have a high school diploma or general education degree preferred.
• You have previous guest service and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
• You are able to interpret standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation instructions.
