OverviewThe Unaccompanied Alien Children Program provides temporary residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, the POH program provides a safe and nurturing environment for 439 youth as well as therapeutic and educational services and other supports that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions as well as link them with family members and/or other sponsors in the United States so they are able to move forward with their lives and thrive.Rising GroundFounded as an orphanage in 1831, Rising Ground has been at the forefront of evolving community needs. You can also take advantage of other important benefits, including life and accident, disability benefits, the retirement savings plan, and the employee assistance program.Responsibilities* Supervisory / managerial responsibilities as assigned by Program Administrator or Director of Residential Services* Assumes responsibility for safety, personal conduct, and care of the youth in cottage* Job Performance evaluations for Staff they Supervise* Responsible for Scheduling and Ensuring coverage meets ration mandates* Ensures staff complies with agency policies* TCI Facilitator* Ensure food is available in Cottage and meets nutritional standards* Assesses youth's needs and helps develop treatment, education, and aftercare plans for the youth* Implements PBIS tenants in daily work with Children and Staff* Interacts critically and constructively with staff members to develop and implement successful intervention techniques* Keeps staff informed of significant behavioral conditions known about an individual and/or the group* Maintains security in building, grounds, and other posts; intervenes during emergencies and crisis situations* Maintains safety of vehicles* Coordinates Transportation for discharges, arrivals, medical appts., TFC pick-ups, recreations* Coordinates community relations projects and other outreach activities* Assists in the oversight of all programming, and evaluates the application of youth's skills in scheduled activities* Exercises considerable judgment, discretion, and initiative in the performance of duties within the established policies and procedures* Weekend and evening shifts* Performs other related work as assignedQualifications* Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field- preferred* Minimum two years of work experience in a residential treatment program; or* Two or more years of experience in group work which involved direct care and interaction with youth such as YMCA, schools, recreational facilities, or residential care programs;* Supervisory experience of at least one year is preferred* Ability to transport youth and travel.* Ability to work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime; and the ability to respond to crises situations.* Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, community groups, the courts, other agencies, and the general public.* Excellent writing and communication skills* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite* Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus* Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license and clean driving record* Salary $60,863.00
