Clinical Resource Team Admin

House Supervisor

PRN (0.01 FTE) & Full Time (0.9 FTE) Availalbe

Shifts:

  • PRN - varied hours/shifts
  • Part Time Weekend Days - Saturday & Sunday, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
  • Full Time Nights - 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

The House Supervisor supervises nursing personnel and patient care on all nursing units per their designated shift. Responsibility for administrative decisions during their working hours. The House Supervisor will work the floor 40% at the bedside and the remaining time as a supervisor. This position floats shifts as a bedside nurse to their skill level on medical surgical units at the three Quad City Campuses.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care.
  • Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education.
  • Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
  • Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patients care.
  • Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

Experience:

  • Two years of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
  • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Must possess and maintain current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification within 6 months of hire.
