Household Goods Packer You are a personable, physically fit, responsible individual who utilizes time wisely and is efficient in a frequently fast-paced environment. Packers are responsible for ensuring that items are suitably prepared and placed into appropriate containers, to ensure an undamaged condition during transit. To be successful, you must have stamina to perform manual, repetitive duties; some of which may require strength. Responsibilities | Duties
- Loading unassembled, required containers and materials for transport to job site.
- Unloading and restocking any unused materials upon return from job site.
- Assembling and taping containers (moving boxes).
- Gathering and placing customers' belongings into the appropriate containers, with care.
- Padding and/or wrapping items properly, to avoid damage during transit.
- Labeling and inventorying items and containers packed, and documenting pre-transit conditions.
- Listen and take direction from crew lead or driver.
Job Requirements
- Physically fit, can lift at least 20 lbs. consistently throughout the day.
- Punctual and present.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to operate standard, simple tools.
- Good hygiene.
- Good communication skills.
- Friendly.
- Available to work varying hours and some weekends.
- Pass a background check.
- Participate in drug testing program.
- A driver's license would be advantageous.
