We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.This job is open toThe publicU.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Clarification from the agencyOpen to PublicDutiesWhat to ExpectPerforms a wide range of cleaning tasks using industrial type equipment in an assigned block of occupant quarters and common areas and provides numerous types of customer service.Required to wax and polish hardwood furniture; clean lacquer furniture; and clean furniture in rooms and common areas.Common area duties will include cleaning public toilets, public bathhouses, public laundry rooms, and public conference rooms; sweeping, mopping, waxing and buffing, or vacuuming all hallways, lounges, lobbies, stairways, and common kitchen.Will be required to empty large trash cans (weighing up to 40 lbs) from public areas and take trash to the dumpster containers located as much as 300 feet from the building; quarterly shampooing of carpets and cleaning windows inside and out.Responsible for supporting laundry services to include sorting, cleaning, drying, folding, restocking, and inventorying laundered items.Responsible for inspecting assigned guestrooms for completeness upon checkout of guests. Work requires constant standing, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting of objects. Climbs ladders and operates industrial equipment.Frequently pushes carts loaded with dirty laundry or waste paper and trash.Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.Work is normally performed indoors under normal conditions, some duties required may be outside and will expose incumbent to heat, cold, and varying types of weather. Exposed to vibration from heavy equipment, possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, strains, sprains, and skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions.Care is required to avoid injuries when working on ladders.This position is designated Mission Essential .In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (nature or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
