Job DetailsJob Location Brady Hotel - New Florence, MO Description Clean guest rooms and suites to ensure highest standards of cleanliness and service. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guests' requests. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms and suites. Be familiar with all hotel services to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, services, procedures and standards. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Ensure that both carts and supply closets are kept clean, neat, and properly stocked.
- Check the information board, daily event sheet, be up to date and informed about daily operations.
- Be knowledgeable about etiquette and protocols.
- Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
- Strip beds and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting mattresses weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
- Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
- Clean coffee/tea makers, refrigerators and microwave ovens.
- Restock guest amenities.
- Deal with any guest requests and problems and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Manager.
- Report any missing room items (i.e. dryers, iron, towels, etc.) to the Manager.
- Assist/backup to breakfast host essential duties.
- Complete work or special projects as assigned and adhering to due dates and deadlines.
- Be familiar with all emergency plans and be able to act upon them.
- Complete the brand-specific training courses for Housekeepers as assigned by the General Manager.
- Handle items Lost and Found according to Company policy.
- Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the products, including hotel rooms, type of rooms, amenities, services of hotel, etc.
- Develop knowledge about frequent guests and their special requests and needs.
- Provide gracious hospitality towards all customers. Be highly familiar with and adhere to all policies, procedures and standards.
- Create a productive and positive atmosphere; have a good relationship with all associates and other departments.
- At all times strive to represent hotel and brand in the most professional, courteous manner.
- Job may require other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials.
- Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment.
