Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, restrooms, offices, corridors, waiting areas, and other assigned areas following established housekeeping protocols.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, handrails, and furniture to prevent the spread of infection.
- Remove trash, soiled linens, and biohazard waste from designated areas and dispose of them according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and hand sanitizers in patient rooms and common areas.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
- Assist in preparing rooms for new admissions by making beds, changing linens, and restocking supplies.
- Respond to housekeeping requests from staff and patients promptly and professionally.
- Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to maintain knowledge of housekeeping best practices and safety standards.
- Demonstrates flexibility with assignments within professional scope/duties/licensure.
