Our skilled and customer service-focused staff are available at all times for our residents to provide them with the care they deserve.

** General Purpose:**

As part of a high-functioning care team, our Housekeeper performs day-to-day housekeeping services ensuring a clean, attractive facility in accordance with all laws, regulations and Company standards.

Reports to Director/Manager of Housekeeping.

** Essential Functions:**

* Follows all infection control rules and regulations; ensuring the safety of our Residents, Employees, and Visitors.

* Works throughout the facility (i.e., resident rooms, therapy rooms, dietary services)

* Flexibility is a must being available to provide cleaning services where needed

* Deliver extremely high level of customer service

* Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours

* Subject to frequent interruptions

* Possible exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions

* Perform day-to-day housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, polishing, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning, replenishing and mopping

* Assist in the evacuation of residents

* Work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel

* Must practice dependable, regular attendance

** Education and Experience:**

* High school graduate or equivalent preferred

* Prior cleaning or healthcare experience preferred; and we are very happy to train!

** Specific Requirements:**

* Must be able to lift 30 lbs floor to waist; lift 10 lbs waist to shoulder; lift and carry 30 lbs; and push/pull 40 lbs.

* Knowledgeable of environmental services practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing environmental services functions in the long-term care facility
