Housekeeper - The Wellington Agency : Job Details

Start: ASAP - interviewing and trialing immediately (will be 1 week paid trial) Schedule: Full time, 5 days per week, 40 hours. This role is live-out. Live-in/ living arrangements may be discussed for the right, long term candidate. Open to candidates nationwide - relocation assistance offered Private Family in Southampton are looking for a fantastic, autonomous, year-round Housekeeper for their property. The family are only in residence part time (they have various other properties). Property is 8000 sq ft, 8 beds, 11 baths. The family consists of Mr and Mrs. They have three grown children who visit occasionally, and two elderly grandparents who also use the home occasionally. Duties will include:

• All regular daily cleaning - vacuuming, mopping, dusting to keep the home neat and fresh
• Deep cleaning (this is done on a schedule when family are not in residence - contractors brought in for big projects e.g. high windows etc)
• Seasonal projects if needed
• Laundry; washing, drying, ironing. Clothes and sheets, basic care (no high end clothing/ special care etc)
• Organizing closets and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of family's desired items when needed, such as for trips or special occasions
• Excellent service to principals and guests
• Ability to assist with special requests
• Collaborating with other team members including the house manager
• Occasional pet care

When the Grandparents are in residence, they have full time care (day nurse, night nurse, and PT Housekeeper who also does their cooking). There is also a Chef and Handyman on staff. A second Housekeeper is brought in when there are 5 or more people staying on property, and for special events. There is a small dog and a cat who are at the home occasionally (a week or two at a time, a couple times a year). Being able to walk the dog and feed the cat would be preferred. The family does entertain over summer for holidays and special events - these are more intimate/ family based events such as a sit down dinner for 4 th of July for max 20 guests. The house gets closed for the season in October and reopened in March, so deep cleaning projects are done over winter. This is a year round position, and there is also option for overtime/ extra hours for the Housekeeper over winter at the family's other properties in NYC and Greenwich The right candidate for this role is:

• Detail-oriented, trustworthy, well-organized, respectful, discrete, positive, energetic and punctual
• A self-starter and happy to work autonomously or collaboratively with other team members including the house manager
• Very professional with great experience and discretion
• Forward thinking and organized
• Love their work and have a long term outlook
• Have excellent English communication skills
• Valid US work authorization and drivers license
• Minimum of 5 years experience in private residence

Driving (for errands) is a bonus, but not a requirement. Compensation: $40 + per hour BOE, averaging approx. 45 - 50 hours per week Annual performance based bonus 2 weeks vacation & 40 hours sick per year Federal Holidays are paid overtime and accrue 1 extra day vacation per holiday worked - these can be used or carried over to the next year Medical benefits to be discussed (medical only, no dental or vision).
