Housekeeper Job DescriptionSeeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.About the JobThe Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. This includes making beds, replenishing supplies, sanitizing equipment, and performing general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.Key ResponsibilitiesMake beds and change linens as neededReplenish supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing suppliesClean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areasClean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleanersDust furniture and equipmentPolish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittingsWash walls, ceilings, and woodworkWash windows, door panels, and sillsEmpty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtraysTransport trash and waste to the disposal areaReplenish bathroom suppliesReplace light bulbsAbide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicalsReport to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policyKnow and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its dutiesTake the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm mannerRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent experience preferredHotel housekeeping experience preferredBasic reading, writing, and math skills requiredExperience with hotel brand systems preferredCustomer service skills requiredPrioritization and time management skills requiredWorking quickly without compromising qualityStrong attention to detailAbout UsShamin Hotels is a leading hospitality organization with over 9,000 rooms in 76 properties.
