Description

SUMMARY:Responsible for cleaning offices, and lavatories/bathrooms according to a housekeeping schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:include the following, as well as performance of other work related duties as assigned:

+ Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.

+ Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.

+ Cleans and disinfects bathrooms.

+ Cleans and disinfects dining areas and break room

+ Cleans and disinfects office spaces

+ Cleans and disinfects common areas

+ Wipes and dusts surfaces in rooms and cleans mirrors.

+ Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.

+ Stocks appropriate supplies in bathrooms.

+ Picks up and empties trash containers.

+ Notifies maintenance if something is not working properly.

+ Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

+ Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts.

+ Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using appropriate cleaning supplies, sponges, or squeegees

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

+ Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.).

+ Must have knowledge of housekeeping procedures.

+ Must be dependable and have ability to follow directions.

+ Should have general knowledge of housekeeping procedures.

+ If in recovery from substance abuse must have at least two (2) years recovery.

During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
