DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Housekeeper helps create a joyful and vibrant community by maintaining a beautiful environment, keeping the community tidy, clean, sanitary, and pleasing to the senses. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
- Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
- Must have high standards of cleanliness.
- Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
- Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
- Follows established Infection Control practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
- Must be capable of operating and maintaining all housekeeping/laundry equipment (i.e., commercial washer/dryer, buffing machines, etc.).
- Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations.
- Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays Current on all system assigned tasks and duties.
- Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
- Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position.
- Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other employees.
- Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations.
- Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision)
- Maintains current food handler's card.
Actual pay rate will be calculated based on relevant years of experience and education/certification requirements.WHAT WE OFFER
