WorkSource is seeking to fill Housekeeper positions at the Federal Executive Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia!

Positions are part-time, with shifts Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 12:00pm, as well as two weekend shifts monthly.

This position is proud to offer a starting salary of $17.20 per hour + $4.57 per hour Health and Welfare Benefit.

Job Summary

Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning residential guest rooms, including making bed, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning showers, toilet, and floors.

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

* Perform daily room turnover for approximately six rooms, including bed-making, linen-changing, bathroom cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and trash disposal.

* Conduct deep cleaning tasks between classes, including furniture movement, baseboard dusting, and inside-drawer cleaning.

* Restock room items and replace used towels with clean ones to ensure guest comfort.

* Adhere to established housekeeping standards and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Additional Responsibilities

* Work closely and communicate positively and professionally with all co-workers, lead workers and management.

* Maintain continuity between shifts by documenting cleaning actions, noting areas requiring additional care or monitoring.

* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

* High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.

* At least one (1) year experience preferred.

* Must be able to pass and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment preferred.

* Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

* Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

* Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if necessary.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members respectfully.

* Ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of chemicals and products.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The incumbent is frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls. The incumbent must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, swooping, kneeling, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, sweeping and mopping floors and moving desks and furniture. The incumbent is required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, and stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
