Summary:To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to do the work of position without more than normal supervision Dexterity and safety Work Practices Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment. There is no specific length of training or experience required: However, applicants will be rated on the basis of their responses to the Occupation Questionnaire that you possess the competencies to perform the duties that position without normal supervision, and the information contained in their resume. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Moderate physical effort is required continuously in performance of manual cleaning tasks. Walking standing for long periods, required bending, pulling, lifting, pushing, and climbing. There are occasionally short periods of more physical effort when moving furniture and lifting of items over twenty-five (25) pounds, occasionally objects weighing over fifty (50) pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS: Will be working inside with adequate lighting, ventilation and occasionally outside when washing of windows. Will be exposed to some mechanical hazard, some moving objects, wet floors, to skin irritation form strong cleaning solution used in disinfections, in stripping of floors, etc., and danger of falling off step ladders, scaffolds, in cleaning high areas, hanging of drapes and curtains, and with risks of exposure to contagious disease, radiation or infection. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
