Housekeeping Aide - Knife River Care Center : Job Details

Description Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects the resident rooms.
• Checks and disinfects water fountains.
• Checks, empties, and disinfects garbage containers.
• Checks and cleans entryways.
• Checks and cleans meeting rooms, visitation rooms, and offices.
• Checks, disinfects, refills, and cleans dispensers.
• Vacuums carpets in your assigned area.
• Dusts horizontal surfaces in your assigned area.
• Disinfects toilets, sinks, hoppers, and floors in your assigned area.
• Disinfects wall surfaces according to assignments.
• Spot cleans any soiled area discovered during your daily cleaning.
• Cleans and disinfects housekeeping equipment on a timely basis.
• Keeps janitor's rooms neat and clean on a timely basis.
• Keeps up the stock of supplies in your area.

Other Duties

• Fill out and submits maintenance requests on all needed repairs upon discovery of that repair.
• Cleans windows, registers, blinds, drapes, machines, small appliances, and miscellaneous things of this nature when assigned.

• Must communicate effectively to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Demonstrates the willingness to be a Team Player . Works in cooperation with and promotes positive relations between co-workers and other departments.
• Follows the Code of Conduct as outlined in the Corporate Compliance Plan.
• Demonstrates dependability and good work habits. Proactively stays busy with other assignments even when your immediate assignments are completed.
• Attend or view per video 75% of all in-service material.
• Must complete annual mandatory education and all other education as required.
• Must contribute to a positive work environment.
• Must meet the attendance policy.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Respects the dignity and privacy of all residents and any confidential information.

Requirements Must be able to understand written and oral instructions.
