Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
+ Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or law.
+ Follow organization policy and procedures in order to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
+ Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
+ Other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, as needed.
+ Launder soiled linens as directed.
+ Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit uses. Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
+ Routinely practice infection control measures. Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility.
+ May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility.
+ May be responsible for stocking of supplies.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
+ Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ One or more years housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment required.
+ Previous Lead experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
+ Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
+ CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
+ First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
PAY RANGE:
+ $14.80 to $20.73 per hour
