We encourage guest to explore outdoor activities or simply stay in, our personalized approach to luxury invites guest to treat themselves to a new every day.What We Are Looking For:SUMMARY: The Houseman is responsible for responding to the needs of housekeepers, management, front desk, dispatch and guest service calls. The Houseman must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards. The Houseman will assist in maintaining the Hotel Standards.The Houseman shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa Culture as well as promoting our hotel values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability and Passion for Service.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides prompt response to all service calls
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
- Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment
- Responsible for delivery of requested guest items
- Responds to any applicable guest, front desk or housekeeping request as needed
- Receives and stores incoming freight accurately and promptly
- Maintains effective organization, layout, cleanliness, security, upkeep and maintenance of all storage closets and facilities
- Keeps accurate and legible records of all services
- Maintains active key control and security
- Helps maintain a clean and safe working environment in the housekeeping department
- Adheres to the established Lost and Found Procedures
- Immediately report maintenance requests to supervisor
- Communicates all pertinent information to the housekeeping team
- Attends appropriate department, hotel and division meetings
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all hotel amenities as well as any special events
- Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records
- Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Woodmark Hotel dress code standards
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Prior Houseman experience preferred
- One year of customer service experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Hospitality specialty degree of prior hospitality experience preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a natural ability to interact with others
- Must be able to read, write and speak English

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking;
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height;
- Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently; kneel or crawl occasionally; infrequently climb a ladder
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
- Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
