Role Responsibilities The Houseparent PRN works on an as needed basis under the direct supervision of the Home Coordinator. The major purpose of the position is to provide direct services to individuals residing in community-based homes as designated by Individual Plans of Care (IPC's), applicable rules and standards, and facility/departmental policy. The Houseparent PRN is responsible and accountable for the delivery of residential support and/or respite services according to the HCS definition of these services. Major responsibilities include: provide adequate supervision to assigned consumers based upon individual need. Implementing training and behavioral programs, as well as service objective, as outlined in their Person Directed Plan (PDP). Assist consumers with activities of daily living; transporting consumers to work, activities and scheduled appointments via facility vehicle. Documentation of provision of services as designated by standards, rules, and policies. After successfully completing the Vital Sign and Weight Training Class, staff will monitor client's vital signs (temperature, blood pressure and heart rate) and weight as trained by the nurse. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the compliance policy. Works flexible and varied schedule. Must possess and maintain a current, valid Texas Driver's License and be insurable by Texana's insurance carrier. Salary
