POSITION OBJECTIVE
Support and service the room attendants and is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all corridors, linen rooms, and service areas. He/she will assist the housekeeping department with all projects and special requests from all guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* To stock supply closets to maintain at minimum par levels
* Maintain Housekeeping closets.
* Remove trash and dirty linen from the cleaning carts and linen rooms.
* Clean trash from corridors, as needed, move trash, newspaper, and recycling goods to trash pick-up point.
* Replace vacuum bags and assist with restocking of linen carts.
* Monitor consumption and inform managers of guest supplies shortage.
* Move furniture, supplies and equipment as directed by the housekeeping Manager
* Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, setting up extra beds, bay cots, carpet cleaning and basic floor maintenance.
* Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may require you to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* High school or equivalent education preferred.
