Job DescriptionPosition Overview:The Office of Student Housing and Residence Life at Cameron University is seeking a reliable and motivated Housing Facilities Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position will involve a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and labor tasks essential to the upkeep of the housing facilities.Job Duties:
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of common areas, offices, and facilities within the housing complex.
  • Assist in moving and arranging furniture.
  • Help with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Assist with tracking and managing supplies and equipment for the housing office.
  • Collaborate with the Student Housing Professional Staff to complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Abilities:
  • Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with staff and residents.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with students and staff.
  • Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment as necessary. Other details, such as pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, 50 lbs., etc.
Compensation: $12 per hour (up to 29 hours per week) Additional Requirements:
  • Must adhere to strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive information.
  • Must comply with the Student Code of Conduct, Housing Code, and University employee protocols. Violations may result in disciplinary action or termination.
  • Current Enrollment: Must be a student at Cameron University.
