Job Summary
This is a dual position that will support two programs within the Prevention Services Department of the Y Social Impact Center: the Lifeline Pilot Program and the Youth Engagement Team in Pierce County.
The Lifeline program is a statewide pilot program, with a focus on Pierce County and Spokane County, that aims to provide support to individuals who are exiting or have exited public systems of care including foster care, the juvenile justice system, office of homeless youth prevention and protection shelter and housing programs, and inpatient behavioral health treatment. This program will require timely administrative support to provide an added layer of support with incoming applications, intake case management, resource navigation, and the provision of flexible funds.
The Youth Engagement Team- Pierce County (YET-PC) program is a multi-disciplinary team approach designed to address housing instability for unaccompanied youth 12-17 years old in Pierce County. The vision behind the work is creating a team centered, multi-disciplinary response to systems involved youth currently experiencing, or at imminent risk of; homelessness. There are three components to the model: Legal Advocacy, Housing Navigation and Emotional Support (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). Each of these plays a role in helping with the youths stabilization. This program will require hands on case management support to assist youth experiencing homelessness in accessing housing and other critical services to resolve their immediate housing crisis and address social and emotional and education needs when identified.
