Posting Details Position Information Posting Number S000870 Position Title Housing Services Coordinator Department Residence Life Division Student Affairs Supervisor Title Assistant Dean of Students for Student Care and Community Standards Status Full Time Regular Position Summary Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students, the Housing Services Coordinator provides all campus guests, including students, conferees, and visitors, with campus housing and meal plans in residence halls. This position oversees all residence hall-related assignments and billing processes throughout the year. The position also supports Event Services by managing housing staff for summer conferences and providing operational oversight for conference housing requirements. Description of Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the advertising, scheduling, and processing of housing choices for residence halls. Coordinate ongoing housing occupancy status with appropriate campus departments such as Student Affairs Res Life, Facilities and Campus Safety.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, faculty, and staff with student housing and meal plan-related concerns, consulting with other campus resources for resolution as appropriate, including Orientation and Welcome Week.
  • Maintain and update all housing, meal and damage billing information using eRezLife software.
  • Work with Student Accounts to ensure timely and accurate billing of housing and meal plan charges.
  • Provide operational oversight for the housing component of all campus events, including summer conferences and intern housing. Execute all residence hall logistical arrangements in preparation for all campus events. Provide consultative services to outside conference planners to enable the successful completion of housing logistical arrangements.
  • Ensure that housing facilities are maintained to the standards expected by the college, coordinating with facilities and custodial staff for upkeep.
  • Administer housing contracts, policies, and procedures to maximize occupancy rates while meeting student needs.
  • Coordinate the check-in and check-out process for the assigned residence area; maintain records, including key inventories and room/apartment condition forms throughout the academic year. Address housing concerns and issues related to housing.
  • Plan and implement housing assignments, including accommodating specific student needs and preferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of occupancy, assignments, and student-related housing issues for reporting and planning purposes.
  • Occasional nights or weekends to accommodate check-ins.
  • Assist Residence Life and other campus partners as needed.

An individual in this position must possess the proficiency, wherewithal and knowledge of principles and processes for providing high-quality customer and personal services to the College's internal and external customers.

    • Computer proficiency and demonstrated business-writing skills, including previous work with housing software preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of contract terminology and risk management issues

Education/Training Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience Minimum of two years' experience in a related position, preferably within a collegiate environment and supervisory experience.
