- Ensure regulatory compliance when pulling applications from the wait list.
- Perform application interview for formal application; perform applicant verifications; and prepare file and conduct briefings.
- Process Request for Tenancy Approvals (RFTA).
- Prepare leases/contracts, and HAP etc.
- Coordinate all signatures and perform all data entry.
- Negotiate proper rents.
- Perform all verifications and file work-up.
Caseload Management Initials:
- Manage and maintain control of all regular, interim, and special tenant re-examinations for assigned caseload.
- Track voucher issuance.
- Review recertification form, complete verification package and perform rent calculations.
- Notify clients of changes to contracts.
- Prepare and maintain all file documentation according to procedures.
Branch Operations:
- Assist in the daily administration of the Section 8 Programs as directed by supervisor.
- May involve emphasis in either leasing or occupancy activities.
Computer Entry/File Maintenance/Clerical:
- Complete data entry.
- Responsible for balancing.
- Coordinate and manage all necessary correspondence to clients. Maintain a systematic and orderly filing system.
- Scan documents when requested.
Association Liaison:
- Maintain current knowledge of Section 8 program in order to provide clients with program information and referrals.
- Advise clients of their rights, responsibilities, and program compliance.
Professional Development:
- Maintain and enhance personal job related skills and knowledge.
May perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. RequirementsPosition qualifications required are the following:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Knowledge of the regulations governing Section 8 program is preferred and general administrative practices is required.
- Ability to work independently to schedule, organize, plan, prioritize, and complete job related activities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.
- Computer proficiency is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and present to a variety of individuals or groups is required.
