In turn, we hope this helps you evaluate if this is the right job for you.Overall DescriptionThe HR Business Partner will be accountable for leading and executing a comprehensive talent strategy. A successful candidate will build strong, impactful relationships with site leaders, teams and regional business leadership to enable the realization of site objectives. This is a site-based, business partner/generalist role. Key Duties • Responsible for the day-to-day strategy and execution of operational HR management activities including employee, incident investigation and corrective action planning, recruitment, training, policy interpretation and implementation, total rewards & benefits, legal compliance, organizational development, talent management, performance management. • Partner with business and/or functional leadership to provide comprehensive human resources services including counseling, coaching and guidance while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and Croda policies. Employee Relations • Assist with inquiries and refer to specialists/managers as needed. • Assist with coordination and roll out of new policies and paperwork associated with policy roll out. Work with the site HR staff to ensure implementation, understanding, and compliance. • Work with the HR Assistant to prepare and coordinate site specific communications to/from employees, i.e., exit interviews, new hire surveys, focus groups, etc. Collect and analyze feedback as appropriate to improve workplace and process. • Collaborate with local employees, site managers and the broader HR team on Employee Engagement initiatives. • Interpret and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and policies including, but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, EEO and Worker's Compensation. • Ensure familiarity with and ability to advise on Croda policies and procedures. Diversity & Inclusion • Champion identifying D&I opportunities and develop programs, policies, and initiatives to impact those needs. • Work with the full HR and management team to develop long and short-term D&I priorities. • Partner with the full organization to support and positively impact diversity and inclusion at Croda. Performance Management • Partner with learning & development and leadership on cyclical performance management activities for non-union employees. • Provide guidance to employees and managers on performance related matters throughout the year for all employees. • Partner with leadership on performance improvement plans when necessary. • Lead by example when giving and receiving feedback. Projects, Culture & Climate Initiatives • Advocate, promote and effectively manage the site environment, evaluating and identifying site culture and opportunities. • Ensure that management is aware of and proactively responding to employee engagement issues. Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding • Partner with Leadership on the full spectrum of Recruitment and Selection needs including finalizing job descriptions, leveraging labor market knowledge, posting, sourcing, interviewing, selection and on-boarding top talent. • Build and execute workforce development plans. Administration & Support • Other day-to-day HR functions, projects, and support as needed Experience & Education required: • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience • 5+ years HR experience. • Must have the ability to translate metrics, research, feedback and trends into strategy and impactful solutions. • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. local, state and federal laws and governmental compliance requirements as well as knowledge of current and progressive principles and practices of human resources management.Application Information: Croda recognizes employees as our strength and the diversity they bring to our workforce are directly linked to our ongoing success.
