Job Title:HR CoordinatorHourly Rate: $25.00-$28.00Job Status: Full Time

SUMMARY:

This role oversees planning, directing, and coordinating various departments. They will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations HR and Training department. They will be responsible for facilitating daily Onboarding, HR, and Training administrative support.

Here's what you will do:include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates the orientation and onboarding process for new employees.
  • Manage HR functions including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Compensation, andperformance management of non-faculty employees.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in office, over the phone and through email.
  • Monitors benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Completes verification of employment.
  • Conducts audits of training files, benefits, and other HR files weekly/monthly.
  • Prepares andmaintains accurate and up-to-date personnel files, training files, digital files, and documentation.
  • Assist in processing background checks and schedule fingerprint appointments and/or renewalsas needed.
  • Communicates to employees when compliance items, training, and certificates are needed from employees.
  • Able to multitask while efficiently meeting several required deadlines.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • File documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Maintain employee records and files.
  • Oversee the department's email account, regularly checking for incoming messages and responding to and/or forwarding as needed.
  • Assists with preparation of Training reports such as certifications, tracking, and scheduled training.
  • Assist with disciplinary action support.
  • Will maintain training requirements and certifications for all employees.
  • Overseeing and maintaining the Washington Training Tracker.
  • Overseeing and communicating to Directors and Supervisors in regard to Training Compliance (weekly as per SOP).
  • Process new hire training information and file it. Assist with inputting new employee documentation into Ceridian. Follow up with the Director and/or Supervisor if items are not in compliance after the employee starts.
  • Enter employees information into Ceridian Dayforce and Relias.
  • Maintains internal training tracking systems for various regulations.
  • Ensures all employee paperwork and files are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policy and procedures.
  • Works closely with other departments to assist with HR and training questions.
  • Coordinates and assists with the rollout of new training initiatives including new policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all employee paperwork, files and automated systems are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Performs general Human Resources office support functions.
  • Works closely with other departments and all employees to assist with HR and operational questions.
  • Will ensure all staff performance appraisals (90-day, probationary & Annual) are conducted and are in the staffs electronic file.
  • Provide training and support as necessary to ensure proper procedures are followed. Follow up as necessary to ensure timely receipt.
  • Manages Relias and ensures employees are completing training per policies.
  • Conducts exit interviews to identify ways to improve employee retention; prepares summary of findings for administration and HR Generalist.
  • Assists with processing of terminations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • An individual must be able to perform their duties with a positive attitude and serve as a positive role.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of HR experience required.
  • SHRM-CP credential preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to fifteen pounds at times.
