Position Overview: We are seeking an early career HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in managing the full employee life cycle, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS management, and training and development. The HR Generalist will be responsible for interpreting and explaining policies, administering compensation and benefits, managing employee performance, and handling corrective actions and terminations.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Employee Life Cycle Management: - Oversee the entire employee life cycle from recruitment to offboarding.
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for employees at all stages of their tenure.
Recruiting: - Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Utilize and manage an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to streamline the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Onboarding: - Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs to welcome new employees and ensure a smooth transition.
- Conduct orientation sessions and coordinate necessary training.
Employee Relations: - Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts and disputes in a fair and consistent manner.
HRIS Management: - Maintain and manage the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics as needed.
Training and Development Administration and Program Creation: - Assess training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and workshops.
Policy Interpretation and Explanation: - Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, and regulations to employees.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Compensation and Benefits Administration: - Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll, health insurance, and retirement plans.
- Address employee questions and concerns regarding benefits.
Employee Corrective Action and Termination: - Manage the process of employee corrective actions and terminations, ensuring legal compliance and documentation.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
Employee Performance Management: - Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing improvement plans.
Compliance and Legal: - Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on legislative changes that impact HR policies and practices.
Employee Engagement: - Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Conduct employee surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
Event Planning: - Organize and coordinate company events, such as team-building activities, workshops, and company meetings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Sign.
- Experience with RealPage is preferred.
- Experience managing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
