Summary:Human Resource Generalist supports the human resources/relations needs of the manufacturing personnel.US Farathane is seeking an experienced Human Resource Generalist. Provide Information to facilitate the processing of payroll. Responsible for the administration of all FMLA/STD leave. To assist the HR Manager on various projects and coordinate all personnel recordkeeping responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute proper paperwork for all employees requesting FMLA/STD leave.
  • Follow-up with receipt of all documents from medical provider in a timely manner.
  • Ensure employees status is correct, creating PAF's for employees on leave, and upon their return.
  • Track all STD payments made to employees.
  • Maintain contact with employees on leave and when applicable with Mutual of Omaha .
  • Upon employees medical release to work set up appointment to see company doctor for back to work certificate.
  • Keeps records of hourly personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Maintain good employee relations through effective communication and prompt attention to associate concerns.
  • Help process weekly payroll and be the back up for HR Assistant for payroll as needed.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Assist in performance review program for hourly employees to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for all plant personnel.
  • Provide key HR input into the development of plant and department strategy goals.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Terminations
    • Assist with exit interviews when needed.
    • Maintain Termination Chart.
    • Complete all vacation pay outs for termed employees if required.
    • Close out employees file.
  • Archive all payroll files from active drawer to storage yearly.
  • Shred any old files once time limit has expired.
  • Interact on a weekly basis with uniform distributor and handle any/all issues as they arise.
  • Track and distribute uniforms and make sure uniform deductions are correct in payroll.
  • Report any time clock issues with Paycor Help Desk.
  • Assist Human Resource Manager in various projects.
  • Back up other positions in the HR Department.
  • Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Familiar with environmental plant postings.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities- In the event that this position becomes vacant, the Human Resource Manager will resume responsibilities.

  • Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's Degree or five years related experience preferred and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience - payroll and FMLA and payroll experience preferred.
