BASIC FUNCTION:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources professional to join our team. This role will be pivotal in supporting our associates across the United States and Canada managing payroll processes and a variety of key HR initiatives for Crane Co. and Crane Pumps & Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR principles, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Generalist position is responsible for payroll processing, absence management, employee experience planning, and talent acquisition. This position will also assist with talent development initiatives, HR strategic deployment, and business unit reporting.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:* Support Crane Pumps & Systems associates and leadership as the lead generalist for payroll processing in the United States and Canada.* Assist with associate relations, coaching, development and recruiting between all locations.* Leveraging the Crane Business System, manage action plans in support of HR planning and strategy.* Manage time-keeping software and process necessary transactions to ensure accurate and timely payroll submission to ADP on a bi-weekly basis.* Lead data analysis for absence management, preparing documentation for corrective actions with supervisors. Monitor the return of all corrective action documents.* Manage turnover statistics related to attendance and ensure alignment with FMLA/STD/LTD requirements. Provide vacation accruals for Finance.* Collaborating with our HR systems lead support HR data integrity and governance.* Support Affirmative Action Planning for the Crane Pumps & Systems Business Unit.* Maintain confidential personnel files in compliance with state and federal regulations including HIPPA.* Support our HR intern to develop and distribute employee communications such as our newsletter, etc.* Ensure proper administration of benefits information in support of Crane Co. HR initiatives.* Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.* 2-4 years Human Resources experience (may include co-op experience).* Professional ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and employees.* Ability to maintain confidentiality and have strong customer service and organizational skills.* Excellent Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.* Strong sense of urgency and time-management.* Experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate through various software applications.* Experience with Workday HCM, PeopleSoft HCM, or ADP.WHAT WE OFFER:Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, tuition reimbursement program 401(k) matchPaid time off including vacation, personal holidays & paid holidaysOpportunity for advancementCompetitive starting payThis description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
