Position: Human Resources Manager FLSA status: salaried exempt

Reports to: Executive Director

Progressions Rehabilitation provides rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injuries, and Neurological Disorders.

Summary: The Human Resources Manager provides support throughout the organization implementing HR strategies. This position is responsible for the interpretation and adherence of company policies, employee relations, recruitment, training, and development, as well as benefits administration and records keeping.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Conducts employee investigations in a timely manner in accordance with our policies.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics, such as recruiting, retention, turnover, among others
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Manages and ensures the proper maintenance of employee records both physically and in HRIS systems as applicable
  • Designs and manages employee's new hire orientation and onboarding
  • Develops and implements local protocols/policy
  • Works in partnership with CHRO
  • POC for IT company
  • Ensures new hires are properly set up in the system and have their technology and equipment ready
  • Maintains central documentation as required for local operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 2 years management experience
  • Attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize independently
  • The ability to multi-task and in a busy office environment
  • Proficient customer service skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Must be able to pass a level II background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to operate computers and other office machinery
  • Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to Travel 10%
