Position Summary:
Under the direction of the HR Operations Director maintains the accuracy of demographic, employment, benefit, compensation and payroll information stored in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Incumbent supports the Talent Acquisition activities relative to background check, candidate onboarding, and related. Will also work in the HR Shared Services operations on multipel HR matters that include payroll submissions, compensation changes, benefits enrollments and changes, others. Will work on special projects as assigned. Must exercise a high degree of discretion, good judgment, positive attitude and confidentiality in job assignments and communications with others due to the sensitivity of the files and processes involved.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains candidates, employee and other HR data in the system or on forms, either electronically or manually, and performs periodic audits to ensure the quality and integrity of the system.
- Processes, tracks and maintains employee transactions/information including pre-employment, employment, payroll, benefit, termination, new hires, etc.
- Ensures communication/distribution of necessary information to HR customers.
- Assists with the analysis and resolution of HRIS, TA, and benefits system issues and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Assists with annual enrollment activities, such as preparing materials, scheduling meetings, monitoring and ensuring employee eligibility, etc.
- Prepares and reconciles monthly billing reports for benefits.
- Serves as a resource to staff and management, counseling and educating them regarding benefit plans, and answering and /or troubleshooting questions/issues that arise.
- Collaborates with HR Team in process improvement.
- Independent enough to drive Reporting from various systems for sharing reports with internal customers and the vendors.
- Must have capability to work with Vendors to do effective management of them.
- Maintains ongoing focus on teamwork and communication to improve processes that ensure efficiency and cost-effective HR services.
- Delivers service aligned with department guiding principles.

- Responsible for maintaining strict confidentiality of information and records always.
- Maintains required records, reports, and files pertaining to areas of responsibility.
- Displays commitment to continuous learning, including own professional development as well as sharing information and learning with other team members.
- Represents the department and Versiti at designated meetings.
- Conducts/presents Benefit portion of New Employee Orientation and annual enrollment according to established schedule.
- Assists HR staff with various support activities upon request, such as special projects, reports, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in business, human resources or related field preferred
Experience
- Preferably one to three years progressive benefits and compensation experience in a complex work environment including resolving benefit and payroll related issues and working in partnership with peers, business leaders and employees to support their needs required
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
- Experience with integrated HRIS/payroll systems required; experience with Ceridian preferred
- Experience in a health care setting preferred
