Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced HR & Talent Acquisition Manager to join their team in Herndon, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical recruiting, specifically for Software Engineers, and will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to attract top talent, managing HR functions, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates for software engineering positions.

- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.

- Collaborate with leadership to determine staffing needs and produce workforce forecasts

- Utilize various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.

- Establish and oversee HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, health and safety and compensation

- Partner with senior leaders, acting as the site lead, to create an engaging and positive work environment

- Act as an ambassador to promote company culture

- Oversee new hire onboarding to ensure a smooth transition into the company.

- Implement and manage employee retention programs.

- Provide regular recruitment metrics and reports to senior management.

What we are seeking:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR and talent acquisition, with a focus on technical recruiting for software engineers.

- Proven track record of successfully filling software engineering and other technical roles.

- Strong understanding of technical skills and terminology.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
