Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Functional Consultant with deep expertise in PeopleSoft HR, Base Benefits, Security, and Payroll for North America. This role is pivotal as it involves supporting the HRIS team by maintaining their current PeopleSoft system while they participate in a project to implement new HR/Payroll system. The successful candidate will excel in security management, complex configuration, custom process creation, query writing, issue resolution, and helpdesk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Management:
  • Design, implement, and maintain PeopleSoft security configurations, including user roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Complex Configuration:
  • Configure PeopleSoft HR, Base Benefits, and Payroll modules to meet organizational requirements and business processes.
  • Manage and implement complex system configurations and customizations as needed.
  • Position Management configuration
  • Custom Process Creation and Maintenance:
  • Develop and maintain custom processes, configuration and integrations within PeopleSoft HR/Payroll systems to meet business or union needs and are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Query Writing:
  • Create and manage complex queries and reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Issue Resolution:
  • Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PeopleSoft HR, Base Benefits, Security, and Payroll.
  • Work closely with end-users and technical teams to diagnose problems and implement solutions promptly.
  • Helpdesk Management:
  • Oversee the Helpdesk function for PeopleSoft-related queries and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to Helpdesk staff on technical and functional issues.
  • Documentation:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for PeopleSoft HR/Payroll processes, configurations, and customizations.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a functional consultant with a focus on PeopleSoft HR, Base Benefits, Security, and Payroll.
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft HR, Base Benefits, Security, and Payroll modules.
  • Expertise in query writing and report creation.
  • Expertise in mass load and CI (component interface) functions.
  • Strong experience in position management and complex system configuration.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Experience with HRIS system implementations or migrations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of North American HR and Payroll regulations and compliance is preferred.
  • Additional Qualifications(not required):
  • Functional Workday HCM and Payroll experience
  • PeopleSoft to Workday implementation experience
