This position is 185 days per year and 6 hours per day. JOB DESCRIPTION and DUTIES:
- Provide a welcoming office environment to students, parents, community and staff.
- Work collaboratively with other office staff, teachers, and other school personnel.
- Provide support to the Principal or Vice Principal as needed.
- Assist with answering phones and greeting the public.
- Arrange for substitute teachers and classified personnel.
- Attendance
- Truancy
- Skyward - Entry of all student information and records.
- Skyward - Compile necessary information and generate reports as required
- Enroll students through the calendar year and provide monthly enrollment reports.
- Maintain student files
- Compile and mail progress reports and student report cards
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree Preferred)
- Successfully complete competency testing as required.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with a wide range of individuals
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office or similar.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT and Salary:A typical school year consists of 200 days plus 10 holidays, Mid August through June of each school year. The individual number of days may vary by position as defined within the CBA. The salary range for the position is: Min $19.21 - Max $ 25.84. Positions qualifying for the special duty pay as defined within the contract earn an additional $1.50 per hour. Salary placement will be at step 1 on the scale for the position unless otherwise noted within the contract. An employee employed less than a full work year shall be entitled to a proportionate part of the sick leave allowance. A maximum of three (3) days of annual leave are provided for all employees based on the employee's scheduled employment hours per day to be used for an absence during work hours, or to be accumulated for the purpose of cash out.Verification of identity and United States work authorization must be completed before employment commences. The successful candidate for this position must be fingerprinted.
