JOB DESCRIPTION-DIVISION MANAGERDivision Managers are Multi-Unit Managers who oversee 9-13 locations which includes all fuel sales, inside retail sales, prepared food sales, other facility revenues, facility maintenance, inventory/cash control and local marketing.Division Managers are responsible for increasing profits while protecting company assets. Division Managers must also recruit, train, and maintain their team by providing ongoing coaching and development to the Managers and teams within their assigned areas.•Insuring that the assigned stores meet operating objectives.•Maintain appropriate staffing and responsible for recruitment and development of store managers, assistant managers and food service personnel.•Provide Customer Service to Huck's standards•Teach and direct all Managers to focus on achieving the company's mission statement•Consistently apply company Policies and Procedures.•Ensure that stock levels and appearance standards are maintained.•Adhere to marketing guidelines and programs•Implementation of New Programs and Procedures - verifying 100% completion•Community InvolvementEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCERequirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Preferably the candidate will have managed a convenience store.•Language Skills - Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business papers, periodicals, technical procedures or government regulations.•Written Communication Skills - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, reports in business correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or Customers.•Mathematical Skills - Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and general business formulas.•Reasoning Ability - the ability to solve practical problems with minimal direction. Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.•Physical demands - While performing the daily duties Division Managers are frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands or arms, talk and hear. The Division Manager is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell. The Division Manager must frequently lift or move up to 60 pounds.•Specific Visual Requirements - close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.•All Division Managers must have and maintain a current valid drivers license, as travel is required, along with valid proof of insurance. Driving records will be checked periodically. Vehicles must be maintained and operational at times for safety standards.•All Division Managers must consent and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Policy.RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES•Provide Customer Service to Huck's standards•Insuring that the assigned stores meet operating objectives.•Maintain appropriate staffing and responsible for recruitment and development of store managers, assistant managers and food service personnel.•Teach and direct all Managers to focus on achieving the company's mission and vision statement•Consistently apply company Policies and Procedures.•Adhere to marketing guidelines and programs•Community Involvement•Recruit and develop strong store management teams through networking, coaching, teaching, performance evaluation and example. Ensure all training requirements are achieved at all levels.•Become the communication link between corporate office and stores.•Monitor assigned stores for adherence to corporate standards for housekeeping, product display, sanitation, security, accounting procedures and safety. Correct as necessary.•Lead store managers in planning for sales and profit growth through Customer satisfaction and market awareness.•Analyze statistical data and reports then take corrective action as indicated.•Ensuring the safety of Store Managers, Associates, and Customers while in our stores•Control Labor Dollars/Hours of stores assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS•Division Manager is expected to fulfill all required job duties in a timely manner. A level of commitment by the Division Manager is expected to ensure that the job is done properly.•Each store must be visited no less than every 10 days.•If a Division Manager is unable to make a store visit the Vice-President of Operations must be notified immediately.•Division Manager checklists must be completed and turned in as specified.•Cash audits performed monthly.•Weekly itinerary completed and communicated to the Regional Director/Vice-President of Operations by 8:00 a.m. each Monday.•All Division Managers must have and maintain a current valid drivers license, as travel is required, along with valid proof of insurance. Driving records will be checked periodically.
