Job Description We are looking for an HR Administrator for our client in New Hyde Park! You will work closely with the Human Resources Director, focusing on payroll and benefits administration, along with various HR projects. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in maintaining smooth HR operations. Salary:
  • $50,000-$55,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process weekly payroll for all company divisions under the direct supervision of the HR Director.
  • Prepare and manage payroll journal entries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and files.
  • Prepare and coordinate onboarding packages for new hires.
  • Administer background checks for prospective employees.
  • Handle forms related to workers' compensation claims.
  • Present benefits packages to eligible employees.
  • Administer COBRA Qualifying Event notices.
  • Reconcile monthly insurance invoices.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Director in daily tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment while upholding company standards for exceptional service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong overall computer skills.
  • Solid general math skills; knowledge of accounting principles (credits & debits) is a plus.
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education.
