As a Human Resource Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR departments operations and initiatives. You will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

HR / Benefits Administration: Manage HR administrative tasks such as preparing reports, processing HR paperwork, and maintaining employee records. Direct benefit package communication and administration including worker compensation/ disability claims. Ability to provide support and guidance to management, and other staff when specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise.

Payroll Administration: Manage accurate and timely payroll processing for bi-weekly requirements including periodic detailed reporting. Provide key reporting for personnel / headcount metrics, bonus calculations, wage/ benefit related matters, etc.

Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate in the recruitment process by posting job openings, qualifying and interviewing candidates and hiring following up. Facilitate new hire onboarding, including preparation of orientation materials, background checks and personnel documentation requirements.

Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Support conflict resolution and ensure a positive work environment by fostering open communication. Ensure proper communication of corporate policies and personnel compliance with federal/ state requirements. Travel may be required to NY state facility sites for support and compliance.

Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations including state reporting portal. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and benefits information.

HR Projects: Direct/ Support HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement activities, policy updates, regulatory reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

Experience in human resources processes required.

Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, Time management skills necessary, Interpersonal skills in person and over the phone required.

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and DOH systems.
