EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR/HEAD PAYROLL CLERK

The City of Port Allen is currently accepting applications for the position of HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR/HEAD PAYROLL CLERK. The successful candidate for this position will work under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer to develop, direct and coordinate human resource activities such as employment (both hiring and termination), employee compensation, employee benefits, training, and employee services. The person selected will be expected to write directives to department heads regarding equal employment opportunities and regulations, compensation, employee benefits, employee discipline, employee relations, terminations and all other human resource related issues. Additionally, the person selected handles any other duties requested by the Chief Financial Officer. Applicants shall have a high school diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by six (6) months of experience in payroll and human resources or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Successful applicants will be subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with the City's substance abuse policy.
