EMPLOYER:Schwartz Farms, Inc. JOB TITLE:Human Resources Administrator JOB LOCATION:168 N Main Street, Leigh, NE 68643 (Colfax County) JOB DUTIES:Responsible for administering employee human resources programs, including workers compensation claims, compensation programs, benefit plans, FMLA, and related human resources functions. Specific duties include: (1) Administering compensation programs to ensure equity and competitiveness, including performing job analysis; evaluating positions; determining appropriate benchmarks; and maintaining job descriptions; (2) Administering benefit plans, including working with vendors; identifying market trends; evaluating employee needs; and ensuring compliance; (3) Administering workers compensation claims, including processing injury reports; investigating accidents; preparing reports for insurance carrier; maintaining workers compensation files; advising and assisting departments in conducting investigation of accident reports; reviewing accident reports and collaborating with Safety Manager to mitigate risk; and acting as a liaison for the injured worker; (4) Administering Family Medical Leave (FMLA) for employees, including communicating with team members regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules; administering FMLA leave (including completing paperwork and determining eligibility); maintaining communication with employees and managers; advising on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and disability benefits; and FMLA maintaining records; and (5) Performing other human resources functions as needed including screening, interviewing, and onboarding employees; ensuring proper application of paid sick/vacation leave and FMLA on payroll/compensation; understanding benefits; responding to employee inquiries; and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related; 2 years of human resources experience; knowledge of leave requirements and legal protections under the FMLA, ADA, and the Worker's Compensation Act.
