Houston investment holding company since 1989 is seeking an HR Assistant/Office Manager to provide support to all areas of the HR Department and also office management to organize & coordinate office operations & procedures. Responsibilities
- Office Management: Oversee daily operations of the corporate office; develop & implement office policies & procedures; manage vendors & maintenance of office equipment & services; prepare annual department budget & monitor dept. expenditures; handle HR Dept. A/P & petty cash & monthly expense reports for the VP of HR.
- Recruitment: Support recruitment cycle, including pre-search approvals, sourcing/screening candidates, assist with interviews, preform background checks, and facilitating offers.
- Compliance with federal, state, & local employment regulations; educate & inform members regarding company policies & serve as point of contact for inquiries & new hire orientation.
- HRIS Administration: Oversee HRIS functions & partner with HR team to troubleshoot & implement/develop HRIS modules in partnership with HRIS vendors
- Benefits Administration: Assist members with day-to-day group health benefits , including her hire, annual enrollment, employee inquiries & record management
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Lead the company's onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring onboarding & offboarding procedures are completed, documented & filed correctly.
- Training & Development: Collaborate & lead certain training & development initiatives on behalf of the department & organization.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records & HR documentation & databases; prepare HR reports & metrics for management review; provide general administrative & clerical support to the HR Dept; oversee planning & execution of monthly, yearly, & special events such as benefits enrollment, organizational meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, & company celebrations.
Requirements
Excellent written, verbal, organizational, planning & priority-setting skills; proven ability to work independently on multiple projects concurrently
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business-related field preferred
Experience
2+ years of Human Resources experience and/or 5+ years of administrative and/or executive assistant experience
Software
Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat; HRIS experience
