JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Assistant will be a hardworking, pro-active and detail-oriented multitasker, with excellent administrative skills and the capacity to perform in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for all Human Resources duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: none
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage Open orders report to seat assignment and communicating with staffing organization regarding open positions.
· Conducts up to date Orientation to Associates and MCP Employees
· Process hourly/salaried new hires, setup in HRIS including associates that transition to MCP.
· Maintaining I-9 binder for all MCP-TN Employees
· Assist with preparing New Hire Orientation packets to include all benefit information.
· Follow through within 2 weeks of start of Benefit information required in system and to qualify for choices.
· Explains Benefits packets to new hires.
· Processing Benefits information for the employees requesting insurance.
· Overseeing locker assignment and upkeep of shoe reimbursements
· Tracks applications through applicant tracking in HRIS system to ensure all documentation is entered correctly and ensuring E-Verify is complete.
· Responsible for Uniform distribution including paperwork and reconciling invoices.
· Responsible assigning LMS folders to associates and MCP-TN employees.
· Generating Reports to ensure employees are completing required training in system upon start and annually.
· Responsible for maintaining garnishments and adding them to system through HRIS.
· Responsible for ensuring mail is checked throughout the day.
· Filing and maintenance of employee records,
· Issuing Termination paperwork to employees within 2 days of termination
· Responsible for assisting HR Manager as needed and requested.
· Answers telephone calls, emails, and faxes
· Maintains E-Verify documentation (w/in1st three days of hire)
· Generation of reports (new hires, terminations, transfers)
· Order and maintenance of office supplies
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
· Must have 2+ years experience in HR.
· Must have knowledge of HRIS system, preferably PAYCOM.
· Must have experience in handling I-9, E-Verify and General HR issues for multiple locations and multiple states.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires walking, standing, sitting, twisting, bending, squatting, reaching, pulling, and pushing. Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. on occasion. Frequent computer usage and the ability to use both hands and feet, arms, and legs.
