HR/Safety Assistant

Atlanta, GA

MUST BE BILINGUAL/SPANISH

Reporting to Human Resources Manager, the HR Assistant will support the needs of a growing organization by helping to align people programs with the mission of the business.

.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with HR Manager to execute human resources processes to attract, recruit, onboard, develop, motivate and retain employees.

· Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff through close partnership with hiring manager and utilization of ATS and other recruitment tools.

· Primary steward for orientation and onboarding of new employees.

· Assist HR Manager in the delivery of health/welfare and retirement savings benefit programs.

· Partner with payroll administrator to ensure data is accurate and changes are communicated and processed in a timely and accurate manner.

· Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations such as HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FLSA.

· Assist HR Manager with the implementation and adaption human resources policies and procedures

· Assist in developing and maintaining tools and resources like an employee handbook to provide guidance and reinforce company practices.

· Handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes.

· Coordinate employee safety, welfare and wellness activities.

· Complete weekly, monthly and yearly inspections required by OSHA, Fire Marshal and EPA agencies.

· Ensure all record keeping and reports are completed correctly and in timely manner.

· Investigate all accidents and near misses and insure corrective action is implemented.

· Conduct safety trainings as needed for all areas of safety.

Key Requirements:

MUST BE BILINGUAL SPANISH

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preference for business degree and SHR certification.

· 3-5 years Human Resource generalist experience supporting an entrepreneurial growth business including accountability for benefits planning/design, payroll delivery, talent acquisition, compliance, engagement and support of people managers. Preference for healthcare experience.

· Collaborative, resourceful, and detail-oriented work style.

MUST BE PROFICIENT IN MS OFFICE!!!!

· Proven ability to work in a self-directed manner.

· Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to develop and maintain productive professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Highly motivated with a positive “can do” attitude.

· Exceptional communicator, strengths in both in written and verbal communication.
