Job Description:
We are seeking a Temporary Human Resources Assistant to support the HR Manager in our companies fast-paced, creative environment. This role will focus on a mix of organizational tasks, new hire coordination, and general culture-building initiatives while assisting with day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and HR functions. Must be able to work on-site in Austin, TX on a daily basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate interviews with applicants, managing scheduling and communication to ensure a seamless experience.
- Aid in the new hire process, including preparing onboarding materials, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Support the HR Manager in maintaining and improving recruitment processes.
- Assist in planning and executing culture-building initiatives, including employee events and activities.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR systems are up-to-date and accurate.
- Streamline organizational processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR department.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist in updating and enforcing HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Provide administrative support, including document preparation and maintaining HR files.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, with a focus on multi-state regulations
- Stay informed about HR trends and best practices, offering suggestions to improve processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or an Associate's degree in related field with 2+ years of professional HR or administrative/assistant experience.
- Must be able to work on-site in Austin, TX on a daily basis.
- Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Knowledge of labor laws; multi-state knowledge is a plus.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Proactive and creative mindset, with the ability to contribute ideas and solve problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable multitasking
- Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook is a plus).
- Able to provide professional references.
