Job Description:
The Benefits Leave Specialist is an interactional support role for FMLA/Leave Administration for employees throughout North America. The Benefits Leaves Specialist will partner with sector HR Business Partners (HRBP's), HR Centers of Excellence (COE's) and Managers to support the administration of the Health and Welfare plans, Leaves, FMLA policy, State Leave Plans and Client
Parental Leave.
High-level Scope of Job:
The Benefits Specialist will support the Leaves Manager in the strategy, compliance, and plan design of multiple leave programs throughout the Enterprise, including Unions. Responsible for plan governance, including ERISA, and other legal requirements for over 25,000 employees in North America and Puerto Rico. Monitors plans to ensure compliance and data integrity with DOL guidelines. Proactively leads and develops projects for the leaves administration as approved through the Benefits Design Committee. Works closely with multiple vendors and internal business partners to maintain and support all plans effectively.
Provides support with all retirement benefits planning efforts and strategies including: research and analysis, report/query generation, coordination between ERISA counsel and service providers, strategy implementation and communication. Performs a variety of tasks including streamlined projects, Rapid Improvement Events and the generation of standard operating procedures.
