$150,000 - $175,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource for internal business groups, supporting areas such as organizational structure, performance management, compensation, policy guidance, employee relations, and professional development.
- Build trust and effective working relationships with assigned client managers, becoming their primary contact for HR-related matters.
- Participate in performance management discussions and involuntary departure meetings.
- Partner with the Director of HR to coordinate training programs for professional staff, with a focus on manager development.
- Prepare and distribute employee status change notifications.
- Apply HR expertise to meet the needs of various business groups with unique requirements.
- Ensure professional, responsive communication in client service for both internal and external inquiries.
- Adapt to evolving business and HR priorities to support internal client groups as needs change.
- Oversee the annual professional staff performance review process, including the use of evaluation software (e.g., viDesktop), ensuring reviews are completed on time.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify trends, making recommendations to address any recurring issues.
- Work with business managers and the Director of HR to provide guidance on employee relations matters, such as performance concerns, flexible work options, and leaves of absence.
- Draft performance improvement plans and other related documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues within and outside the HR team to achieve shared objectives.
- Maintain paper and electronic HR files in compliance with firm policies.
- Take advantage of training opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed on HR trends and employment law updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or related role, ideally within the legal sector.
- Preferred: 2+ years of management experience.
