The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is a trusted advisor that provides coaching and partnership to people managers and leaders in order to increase team member engagement, productivity and retention. The HRBP will have a solid understanding of the business and support the implementation of HR programs to attract, retain and develop the very best talent. Collaborates with managers and team members and provide tailored advice and guidance on various topics including performance management, compliance, policies and processes, organizational design, team member engagement, leadership development and compensation.Manages employee relations issues and performance management with discretion and diplomacy; confident to ask probing questions, investigates, understands a situation, makes a recommendation, and explains the logic for this decision to others.Appropriately assess risk in decision making, safeguarding OTR's and its team members, by driving compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations, applying sound judgment and escalating issues with transparency.Works collaboratively with HR partners to optimize the effectiveness of HR programs and solutions.Drives informed decision-making by using data (exit interviews, employee relations activity, HRIS data and employee survey data) to identify trends; works with business leaders to determine the root causes of issues and develop effective solutions.Guides, trains, and directs managers and employees on the implementation of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.) and company compliance.Anticipates and responds to changing business needs and serves as a change advocate/agent on companywide strategies and initiatives.Performs core HR functions such as Onboarding, Benefits Administration, Employee Relations, Offboarding, etc.Other duties can be assigned based on company needs and employee capabilities.Competencies:

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. At times, employee might be exposed to manufacturing environment, including forklift traffic, fumes, noise, and operating manufacturing equipment.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. In order to meet our customer demands and internal objectives, at times this role will be required to work outside of the normal schedule, including weekends.
Travel:
No overnight travel is expected for this position. There may be occasional local day travel or overnight travel as it related to training activities or support of assigned plants/locations.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources.Minimum of 3 years' of progressive experience in HR disciplines in a multi-location and/or multi-state organization.Demonstrated general knowledge of all HR disciplines with more specific technical knowledge of several including performance management and employee relations, compensation, talent acquisition and workforce planning, talent management, policies & practices and organizational design.Proven ability to think critically, diagnose a problem and identify and drive appropriate solutions.Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment, balancing multiple priorities and objectives.Proven communication and effective relationship building skills.Expertise in federal, state, and local employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA.Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically disbursed and matrix organization.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company.HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc.Project Management experience.Manufacturing experience preferred.Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and application.Other Duties
