The Human Resources Business Partner will oversee daily HR, payroll, and benefits administration activities at the plant, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate in executing plant and company strategies to achieve business goals while addressing employee-related matters at the site.
- Recommend and implement improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to enhance HR and safety effectiveness.
- Stay informed of HR process updates and ensure seamless implementation at the plant.
- Handle recruitment and onboarding of hourly employees, utilizing strong recruiting skills.
- Develop and administer training plans, providing training and development opportunities for plant employees.
- Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and conduct investigations, providing recommendations as needed.
- Manage disciplinary actions and ensure proper documentation.
- Administer employee benefits and assist with U.S.-based benefits projects.
- Oversee claims management, including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, and Return-to-Work programs.
- Provide guidance on company policies, programs, and procedures to employees and management.
- Foster an inclusive and engaged workplace environment.
- Perform administrative tasks related to HR projects and maintain accurate records.
- Manage Kronos timekeeping and payroll administration.
- Plan and coordinate site recognition events and social activities to enhance employee interaction.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and organize workload.
- Strong leadership and management skills in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an advanced level.
- Professional HR designation preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and occupational safety regulations.
- Experience managing HR functions in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in HR/payroll within manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of legal requirements related to employment, recruiting, and payroll.
- Ability to design and implement HR programs, including training, for greenfield or brownfield projects.
